After three months of working overtime and on weekends, I decided I just had to get away from my desk. It had been two weeks since my friend moved to Charlotte, and I hadn’t seen him in all this time so I called him up last Friday and told him to expect me the next day! I caught the evening flight to Charlotte and there he was, in his bummy-jeans, to pick me up.
“So what are the cool places to eat here?” I asked him in the car, mindful of the rumbling in my stomach.
“Well, I really haven’t been out,” he admitted sheepishly. “Been too busy setting up my place and all.”
Before I reached out to strangle him he took out his phone and told me to log on to local.com and find Charlotte’s local yellowpages
I had to hand it to Jack, it was a great local search site! You could type in any location and it would fill up your screen with awesome local restaurants we ended up going to an awesome restaurant every night of my weekend! And all it took was a few clicks on local.com.
Talk about a quick fix to hunger issues and lazy friends!
